Dynamic Widgets

Dynamic Widgets gives you more control over your widgets. It lets you dynamicly place widgets on WordPress pages by excluding or including rules by role, dates, for the homepage, single posts, pages, authors, categories, archives, error page, search page and custom post types.

Default widget display setting is supported for:

  • User roles
  • Dates
  • Front page
  • Single post pages
  • Pages
  • Author pages
  • Category pages
  • Archive pages
  • Error Page
  • Search Page
  • Custom Post Types (since WordPress 3.0)

Exceptions can be created for:

  • User roles on role, including not logged in (anonymous) users
  • Dates on from, to or range.
  • Single post pages on Author, Categories, Tags and/or Individual posts
  • Pages on Page Title
  • Author pages on Author
  • Category pages on Category name
  • Custom Posts Type on Custom post name (since WordPress 3.0)

To demonstrate the plugin, you’ll not see a ‘Recent Posts’ widget at the left side in the sidebar on the front page. On other pages (i.e. About and the Dynamic Widgets Category page) the ‘Recent Posts’ widget is displayed.

The widget ‘Dynamic Widgets’ which shows the latest release and a download link of the plugin is only displayed at the front page, the Dynamic Widgets page, the FAQ, Single posts with category Dynamic Widgets and the Dynamic Widgets Category page.

If you need support for the plugin, you can leave a message in the comments of the latest version announcement or in the WordPress Forum.
